Hi-tech advances have found their way into supercars, for better or worse.
Today, Porsche is moving away from purist driving elements like hydraulic steering and manual gearboxes. Case in point: the new GT3 ditched the old six-speed manual in favor of a dual-clutch and the rest of the new 911 lineup has electric steering. But barely 10 years ago, the Carrera GT was launched and it will no doubt be remembered as one of Porsche’s all-time greats. The previous gen 911 GT3 RS 3.8 is also a rare thing, perhaps the last purist 911 ever. Thanks goes to photographer Marcel Lech for snapping these gorgeous machines.
